NFL Throwbacks Vintage Collection, Retail Apparel
Throwbacks – the NFLvintage clothing collection is a line of apparel inspired by the original gamejerseys, jackets, caps, and equipment of teams like the Duluth Eskimos, the '61Packers and the "Steel Curtain." This profitable NFL retaillicensed product line-extension has grown tremendously since its introductiondisplayed by the series of ads shown below incorporating NFL Hall of Fameplayers and Throwback legends Ray Nitschke, Gale Sayers, and Dick Butkis.

Bruce Burke: Creative Director
Bob Stohrer, Doug Spitzer: Writers
Victoria Eichinger: Art Director
Ray Nitschke did have mangled fingers, stitches over his eyes, and soup for knees, but he never had turf toe. He also didn't play with stubbed toes, (they were broken).
Gale Sayers didn't rely on technology to make his way behind enemy lines, and he never pumped up his shoes...just the crowd.
Dick Butkis may have worn Chicago top-soil, tape on his broken fingers, and the blood of those who trespassed against him, but Dick Butkis never wore an earring.
